"It's better to see something once than hear about it a hundred times," runs the old Asian proverb. With that in mind, the latest edition of 1,000 Places to See Before You Die is very useful; brimming with more than 200 new entries and hundreds of colour photographs to get your wanderlust juices going, it details the top must-see sites and activities across the globe. We've included a taster - tell us what you'd include at the top of your list.

What a subjective list! We could each do our own and it would be just as valid. Thanks MSN - for keeping up the VERY low standard of journalism you are becoming famed for.

The European destinations and Norway, are fine, but, all the others cost thousands of pounds in flights, visas, hotel accomodation (single room supplement in Africa is prohibitive), so, nice idea MSN, but, a total failure, no wonder these places won't be visited by the vast majority of us.

Iran is definitely a beautiful place.  And worth visiting. It's a shame most people think it's just a country with weird leaders and nucear power.

I travel a lot so I'm surprised I've only been to two of these places. Actually Mike Transylvania was a great place to visit. Dracula's castle was a really fun visit. Thought the shanty towns and poverty close by was sad to see.
