Meet Kiara, the first ever liliger - a hybrid between a lion and a ligress. Kiara was born at Novosibirsk Zoo in eastern Siberia last month but had to be moved to a special facility when her mother, Zita, was unable to produce milk to feed her.

We don't know when Kiara might be able to move to a public facility, but don't worry, there are still 4000 other animals that you can look at in the zoo, including the cub's mum.

Fab to see them, but I don't understand why Zoos are messing about creating mixed species cubs when the pure lines are so threatened. Suppose they think that the money it might bring in from extra visitors is worth it, but surely it must have cost a lot to do this.

..when you realise the amount of bad, depraving things that happen all over the globe,  this is so uplifting. Seeing wild animals with delicate needs being looked after.. Very Cute...
