Taj Falaknuma Palace, Hyderabad, India
If you were to read a book a day, it would still take more than 16 years to get through this Indian hotel's entire collection of books. The library at the Taj Falaknuma Palace is a replica of the one at Windsor Palace - think endless expanses of teak and rosewood - and the panels are engraved with the initials "V & O" after Prime Minister Sir Vicar Ul Omra, who built the palace in 1884. Its library is also home to one of the world's oldest collections of the Holy Quran and a first edition of the Titanic.
