Ms Rotterdam in the Norwegian fjords.
The Algonquin, Manhattan
This historic hotel was once home to the Algonquin Round Table - a group of writers who made the hotel their daily meeting spot. Members included Edna Ferber, Franklin P. Adams and George S. Kaufman. The hotel has recently embarked on a partnership with Penguin USA, which will see regular book readings by big name authors. The Algonquin also has another claim to fame - it's home to the world's most expensive martini - the £7,000 drink comes with a single a piece of ice in the form of a diamond from the in-house jeweller, Bader & Garrin.
