Shwe Inn Tha Floating Resort, Myanmar
Myanmar's only floating resort opened in 1996 and can be found on the calm waters of the Inle Lake. Accommodation consists of traditional thatched cottages and there's even a pool for those who don't fancy a dip in the lake.
There's also plenty to do - the famous floating market of Heya Ywama Village is just a short boat ride away and hotel staff can organise canoe rides, treks and visits to local villages.
