Take a look through these stunning entries for the National Geographic Photography Contest 2012

Money Sharma: "Govinda players gather together under Dahi Handi to make a human pyramid to try to catch and then break an earthen pot high in the air with the help of a rope, in order to win the set prizes. Janmashtami and Dahi Haandi was celebrated in Mumbai. Govindas (young men) form a human pyramid to reach the dahi handi and try to break it in a bid to win prizes."

I really don't see what's so special about the holocaust shot - it's boring and it could've been taken by anyone. I believe the National G' had felt obligated to include this, not because it is a good shot, but for stupid political reasons. This is a photograph competition not an outlet to cry sympathy over history, why not include Indians at a Cheroki ranch as that race is practically wiped out, or an black african american working in the cotton fields to pay respect to slavery? These two races suffered far greater loss than the 6 million jews in the ww2 FACT!
