I applied for tickets when we were first allowed to. Result nil. Recently we were offered tickets that "had become available" tried within minutes result? "All gone." What a con. I'm off to Sweden and let them get on with it. Disgruntled ex competative cyclist.

And when the OWE-lympics are done we all get to pay for it for years.  Another huge expense for the benefit of what exactly?

I don't know much about MSN but what i have gleaned over the years is that to be allowed to broadcast into the UK should entail undergoing some kind of Citizenship qualification, same as foreigners wishing to reside her permanently. There are more articles aired here to incite national unrest, than is healthy sometimes.

What's the matter with you vinegar-faced lot? Unless you live in the immediate vicinity of any of the events, the Olympics will simply be something happening somewhere else. So stop whingeing, whining and being generally negative and determined to pour cold water on a prestigious event which brings (and will bring) a lot of pride and enjoyment to many others. As far as money: Londoners (I live in SE8) have borne a considerable part, and there will be considerable long-term social and sporting benefits participating. I appreciate not everyone's into sport, but is there really any justification or need for this endless anti-Olympic vitriol?

Delhi????? You've really gotta hate the Olympics if you'd rather swelter at 43 degrees with relative humidity at the consistency of soup and 'brown-outs' every day. Get a grip! Try Kabul instead.
