The rising popularity of smaller 'boutique' cruises on the Amazon has made the more remote sections of this infamous river more accessible. And there's no shortage of those sections: covering 4,000 miles (6400km), the Amazon is the second longest river in the world and passes through Peru, Bolivia, Venezuela, Brazil and Ecuador. The Amazon's vast network of channels permeate half of South America and are home to over 3000 species of fish, with many more being discovered every year.

I don't know why people still instead in saying that the Nile is the longest river, the Amazon is the longest river, it runs through Brazil (which on its own already has the size of these 10 countries together) and Peru, Bolivia, Colombia Ecuador, Venezuala and Guyana. The Nile only looks bigger when it is only taken into consideration the Brazilian part of it. In addition to that, at the discharge of the river, the Nile has 1,584 cubic m per second and the Amazon 180,000. Quite frankly, it makes the Nile look like a little stream.

i discovered a fish there two years ago it had arms and three little fingers on each limb its headwas flat like a bullhead the arms moved all about like a diver i called it the diver fish as i never knew of one before it was about 2 feet long i caught it on the river bottom using some kind of pork rind in a tin local stuff.it had 4 -6 mm long death black eyes .well weird took a foto but camera was knicked from bag we think local village boy
