The writer/photographer obviously hasn't travelled beyond the South West (with the exception of Jersey). There are plenty of beaches outside this area which are just as good if not better (e.g. in the North Wales, the North East and particularly in the Outer Hebrides - Isles of Lewis/Harris which I consider to be the best in the UK). Maybe if an article is to be written on the best beaches in Britain, then the whole of Britain should be taken into consideration. A 'blinkered' article is the best way to describe it I believe.

I think everyone missed the small print. It is Traveller's Choce Beaches and that could mean anything. A beach that is well 'travelled' is most certainly not the cleanest. I would imagine the best beaches would be the cleanest and therefore must be the most isolated and least popular. Also, MSN if you are reading this, the apostrophe is in the wrong place, I think you mean Travellers' unless of course you are referring to one traveller in particular, and if that is the case then at least name that traveller. Sigh.

i have been all over britain , and seen some beautiful beaches, from the north of scotland to the south of england, the only thing to spoil a beach is the weather, and if it is sand or stones, my favourite is camber sands, quite clean and not to commercialised, i used to like swanage until it got dirty and the locals really started to rip you off,
