Amsterdam does saunas very well, and has a number of boutique spas to choose from. Sauna Deco, in Amsterdam's Western Canal Ring, is close to town and retains an old-school charm. The interior decor of this fantastically lavish-looking spa came from a Parisian department store; the owner sold the lot to a curious Dutch collector, who managed to save the majority from destruction.
Alternatively, have all of your pampering done in one place at the ultra-modern Westcord Fashion Hotel. The lower-ground floors of the Fashion are home to a sizeable pool (which is highly unusual in Amsterdam), a sauna and of course a luxurious spa.
