Laguna Tortuguero Beach, Manatí, Puerto Rico
Film: GoldenEye
This quintessential desert island beach provided the backdrop for Pierce Brosnan’s heart-to-heart with Natalya - after discovering that 006 Alec Trevelyan (Sean Bean) had gone rogue in GoldenEye.
Backed by a huge freshwater lagoon and nature reserve, it has remained largely unspoiled. If you can bear to leave the beach, it’ll probably be to check out the 1,000ft radio dish at the nearby Arecibo Observatory, on which 006 and 007 fought in the movie.
