Molitor Paris by MGallery
This month saw the unveiling of a revamped classic – the art deco Piscine Molitor in Paris. Originally opened in 1929, its two pools (one indoor, one outdoor) were hugely popular with local swimmers until they closed in 1989 and the buildings became a haunt for the city’s graffiti artists.
Now, though, the pools have been completely restored and form the centrepiece of the new Molitor Paris by MGallery, a luxury hotel complex. Fancy putting in some lengths in the pool where Johnny ‘Tarzan’ Weissmuller was once a lifeguard and the world’s first bikini was revealed in 1946? Rooms at the hotel start from just under £200 per night.
