Where to eat: WAGs
Welcome, WAGs. The Attic is the perfect place for any woman who cares about her figure and her palate. Serving up reliably excellent food in a casual environment, its rustic-chic interior is filled with solid wooden tables of varying sizes and shapes alongside a mismatch of antique chairs, making for an eclectic, artistic space. Old photos, paintings and knick-knacks adorn the walls, while huge antique gilded mirrors reflect beaded chandeliers and exposed rafters.
As for the menu, the chef-owner is fanatical about obtaining the very best produce; wherever possible, he ensures that everything that goes into his dishes is organic, free-range and sustainable. The fare also changes with the seasons to make the best of fresh ingredients. Add to that wine and beer paired with different dishes to enhance their flavours, and a WAG's dining job is done. One must-try is the Attic's signature Mozambican crab fettuccine with coriander, chilli and lime. There's both indoor and al fresco seating here but booking is still essential.
