This weekend marks the unquestioned highlight of the musical calendar (if your taste in music veers towards high camp, dolphin-bothering high notes and mawkish balladry) - yes, it's Eurovision! After Germany finally saw off years of Eastern European voting blocs to win last year, Dusseldorf's Esprit Arena has the dubious honour of hosting the final. You can write the Eurovision Song Contest off as an excruciating cheese fest, but being there in person is brilliant. It's hard to think of anywhere else where people from all over Europe come together in such a lighthearted and enthusiastic way.
