Towards the end of last year, New Zealand released its classified files on UFO reports and alien encounters, revealing hundreds of documents. The most famous was the 1978 sighting in Kaikoura, but one of our favourites has to be the man who wrote about his 1995 encounter with a giant alien (size 440 shoes). His well-endowed ET told him that humans ascend into hydrogen atoms when they die and that they remain in such a state for 150 years, after which they turn into sodium. Think on that as you're putting salt on your delicious New Zealand lamb. Other sightings have occurred over the North and South islands (including Auckland), making the country a veritable hotbed of alien action.
