Rendlesham has been described as Britain's Roswell after strange incidents in 1980. The area was a US base for secret military operations at the time, and last year former servicemen of the airforce claimed that they thought extra terrestrials had their nuclear weapons under surveillance. The subsequent report found that what was originally thought to be a crashed aircraft was in fact a strange conical object. There was strange writing on the side and it emitted a strange energy that made you feel like you were wading through treacle if you tried to approach it. Marked trails for walkers to follow in the forest include a UFO trail. The incident has never been explained.
