One of the most famous, and hotly contested, photos of a UFO ever taken was in Waikiki, Hawaii in 1959. Dismissed as sun glare on the lens by the US government's Project Blue Book team (this was a project set up to examine credible UFO sightings), it nevertheless shows the classic UFO shape of rounded top and twinkling lights at the bottom. Another reason not to dismiss this sighting off-hand is that Waikiki is a brilliant place for a beach holiday, famous for pristine sand and beautiful blue waters. Even ET would want to bust out his Bermudas for a beach like that.
