Then jet off to the paradise island of Saba in the Dutch Caribbean (Netherlands Antilles), which has the world's shortest commercial runway at just 400 metres. There are no over-run areas at either end - just sheer cliffs dropping 60 metres into the sea - but there is a good safety record...

SABA, this is a brilliant place if your a diver, was there early 90's, great thrill landing and taking off from this island, looks as if the runway has been improved on, as when i flew into it, the arrival building was a wooden shed, would recommend a trip to here for any diver, deep water dive speciallists on this amazing island.

"Until the Eiffel Tower's construction in 1889, the Great Pyramid of Giza was the world's tallest man-made structure for over 3,800 years"...no, it wasn't. From 1300-1549 Lincoln Cathedral had a spire which made it the tallest man-made structure in the world, until the spire collapsed, taking it back below the height of the Great Pyramid of Giza.

Honestly. This is quite an interesting article but please get your facts right MSN. Once AGAIN with your lazy writing you've glossed over the finer details. Have you any idea how much money Gateshead Council put in to Gateshead Milleniium Bridge precisely for the reason to help get Gateshead noticed - hence the bridge being called Gateshead Millenium bridge in GATESHEAD, not Newcastle. Quite obvious really.
