Longest lava tubes
Lava tubes are caves formed by lava flows - molten rock (magma) which has entered the Earth's surface. The world's longest are in Queensland's ancient Undara National Park, west of Cairns at 160 kilometres long, 20 metres wide and around 190,000 years old. Bayliss Cave is the park's largest; home to rock wallabies, micro bats and cave moths.
