This giant church constructed at the turn of the 19th and 20th century looms over the city and is named after the first king of Hungary who introduced Christianity to the country. The panoramic views from the second floor are spectacular.

Located at the end of Andrassy Utca, Heroes’ Square is home to magnificent statues of distinguished rulers from Hungary’s turbulent history. The square is at the entrance to City Park, a pleasant green space that affords tranquil walks in beautiful surroundings.

In summer, visitors can rent a rowing boat, while in winter the pond becomes the largest outdoor skating rink in Central Europe.

8. Gellert Hill
Gellert Hill offers spectacular views across the city and is the location of the Liberation and Gellert monuments and Cave church.

10. State Opera House – Andrassy ut 22, Budapest VI
Although best to enjoy a performance, daily tours are operated to enable visitors to marvel at the opulence of the opera house itself.
