Here's the culture that Miami should be shouting about: its ethnic diversity. Miami has a rich multicultural history tightly woven into the city's cultural fabric. You might be hard-pushed to find picture-postcard elderly Cuban men playing dominoes on street corners around Little Havana, and Little Haiti lacks the voodoo-supplies stores in abundance that misleading guide-books suggests.
You will, however, find Spanish being spoken as often as English and countless Caribbean and Latin American delis with perhaps unfamiliar but delicious-looking specialties. The downtown Holocaust memorial also acts as a reminder that the city has the second-largest Jewish community in the US.
