Off the west coast of Italy lies the island of Sardegna (Sar-din-yah), the holiday hot-spot for Italians. However, as the island’s north slowly gets noticed by other Europeans, the south stays out of sight as a diamond in the rough.

Cagliari is located on the southern coast of Sardegna, and is the capital of the region. It is the major commercial and industrial centre of the island. The oil refining factory employs a large portion of the city and the docks open the door for trade as one of the largest container terminals of the Mediterranean.

Cagliari is turning into a tourist’s dream. As resorts are built and travel to the city gets easier and cheaper, this is one secret that can’t be kept for long. Check out the different aspects of the city that make Cagliari the perfect holiday hotspot for everyone.
