For some people there's no question it's their favourite meal of the day, and we're often told it's the most important. Breakfast is perhaps especially vital when travelling: get food right first thing and a good day on the road is likely to follow.
Yet, as any even vaguely seasoned traveller will tell you, breakfast differs vastly in timing and ingredients from country to country. So, from pho – the soup available from every street stall in Vietnam – an espresso in an Italian coffee bar or a pig-shaped pork dumpling in Beijing, we take a look at the many delicious forms breakfast takes around the world.
