Cap d'Agde attracts up to 40,000 nudists in summer

Where: South of France

If stripping off is your idea of bliss then Cap d'Agde beach should be heaven. Forming part of a designated naturist village just outside Montpellier, Cap d'Agde also includes a clothing-optional bank, post office and launderette. (However, people do tend to wear clothes to the bars and restaurants at night.)

Cap d'Agde attracts up to 40,000 people during the summer, with peak season being July and August. Don't go after September unless you're after a quiet break, as it tends to die down out of season.
