Recorded sightings of a three-metre tall, ape-like creature on the Himalayan slopes go back centuries. For a fighting chance of spotting a yeti (aka abominable snowman), head to the Dhaulagiri mountains of Nepal, where an eight-inch-long barefoot print was photographed in the snow just three years ago.
