De Montalt Wood, Bath

Deep valley views, acres of gardens and woodland to roam, pretty places to sit and muse... all just a couple of miles from Bath. Charles and Ann's Victorian house is a smart family home with a comfortable country feel. Airy bedrooms have big beds with fine linen, a sofa, TV, and garden vistas; bathrooms are luxurious with rain showers and bottled scented things. You breakfast in the elegant dining room: a full English, poached haddock, fruits on the sideboard, lashings of coffee. There are lovely walks with good pubs on the way, bluebells fill the woods in spring and Bath brims with history, spa and good restaurants.
