Ms Rotterdam in the Norwegian fjords.
Lazy Duck, Nethy Bridge, Inverness-shire
Located in the shadow of the Cairngorm mountains, the Lazy Duck campsite (named after the resident Aylesbury ducks) is perfectly located for playing in the hills - or relaxing in one of the site's hammocks at the perfect angle of repose for admiring the nearby peaks. The campsite is tiny so it's essential that you book in advance (and tents accommodating more than three people are not allowed) although the owners also offer the option of staying in a hostel, a cottage and a converted woodman's hut, making it a great choice for groups whose members may not all want to camp.
Local highlight: the Cairngorm mountains, obviously; that said, this is also great whisky country...
