Low-cost carrier Iceland Express was one of the first European airlines to offer iPads on all transatlantic flights. Rental costs £9 and they plan to launch wi-fi in the future. In-flight food isn't included in the airfare (although the menu is better than most) but a big plus is ticket flexibility, with no length-of-stay restrictions and a 25% discount for children under 12. The airline plans to fly to New York from Gatwick and Edinburgh.

Another example of lazy lazy Journalism by Meera Dattani / Msn . Did he/she actually fly on these carriers, can we see the boarding card stubs please MSN ? I doubt very much the passengers on Aer Arran were stress free when the ATR crash landed at Shannon Airport a couple of weeks back ? Looks to me that Meera started at the letter A in the alphabet....as it was easiy just to Google these airlines than actually fly on them !!! I mean 80 million passengers a year fly on Ryanair...so the must all be mad as badgers...Easyjet, South West....they must be part time players in this business.....If you want real feedback on an airline, go to trip advisor or skytrax...this is just another intern wannabe journo posting in the hope of getting a job !
love easey jet ,flown many times with them, great staff, keep up the good work.
Air Transat is not part of Thomas Cook Airlines at all.
A company called Canadian Affair charters both Air Transat and Thomas Cook aircraft but the two airlines are seperate, even though Canadian Affair code share on some routes.
Ryanair, easyjet, both good carriers, only differences are that ryanair insist on weighing your hand luggage even though you are 6ft from the departure gate, and if you are a pound over, expect to lose 45 of those in notes.
Easyjet less stressfull in getting on board, no limit to hand luggage weight, and as most people now don't use the easy boarding, easier to get your seat !!
I have known easy boarders to be firs to the transfer coach, only to have to wait till the rest of us get on, then its a free-for-all !!
I thought that the idea of not having enough room for "brace" position was illegal.....
I am 6ft 3 ins, and it is impossible for me to adopt this position. Is it illegal ???
