Iguazu Falls, Argentina/Brazil
The Iguazu River cascades down in huge waterfalls that straddle Argentina and Brazil. The name means ‘big water’ in local dialect. Legend has it that God intended to marry local girl, Naipi, but she eloped with a mortal lover. In a rage, God then sliced the Iguazu River with a huge waterfall and the lovers were condemned to an eternal fall.
