The reputation of Oxford's universities combined with its stunning architecture make it a draw for international students who have given this city a buzzing, cosmopolitan vibe. Oxford has numerous live music venues and is also home to several world-renowned museums. "Oxford has it all," says Barbara Speed, co-editor of Cherwell, Oxford University's student newspaper.
"It's old enough so your parents are proud you go there, but there are eight coffee shops per square mile for you to waste your student loan and arts degree in!"

Where the heck is Leeds?? Leeds has 2 universities, one of which is one of the top ten in the UK, has tons of museums, bars, restuarants, pubs, bars and different scenes to suit everyone - Leeds Pride, heavy metal scene, dance scene, art scene, to name a few. Also we have Leeds General Infirmary and St. James's, which is a teaching hospital, so medical students are more than welcome.

For those hung up on where Ireland is, it is part of the British Isles though Eire has got independence it remains part of the British Isles. The United Kingdom is ruled by central government based in England but has seperate parliaments with limited powers. It's a shame more Brits don't study a little bit of their history.

find it most shocking that msn chose to portray edinburgh as a snotty cousin and then went on to say that glasgow is cultural - I have one thing to say to that - EDINBURGH INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL - did you blank the biggest most varied arts and cultural festival in the world every year for any particular reason??? Apart from that, the history of Edinburgh Uni and the many many things that it has contributed to modern society are surely worth even a mention - we have cats too
