In Changxing, planners have thought big and green, to create a new 60-square-kilometre town for farmers, villagers and newcomers. The so-called Eco City claims are impressive on paper: increased biodiversity, sustainable forestry, renewable energy and waste recycling, organic farming practices and pollution reduction.
