The Pompidou Centre, Paris, France
The Pompidou Centre ranks as Europe's most visited building and attracts over seven million people a year - that's more than the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower combined.
Named after former French president Georges Pompidou, the centre is home to a library, art gallery and several restaurants and is one of Paris' more colourful buildings - thanks to a unique approach to what would usually be the internal workings, but which are all on the exterior of the building. The giant air conditioning tubes are painted blue, water pipes are painted green, and the tubes holding the electricity cables are bright yellow.

No one's doing any hiding here, everyone knows we're broke it's no secret that the labour party systematically buried us in debt from being in the black when Tony B. won his first election right through to when they left, it's pretty much a cycle; Tighten your belt with Margaret Thatcher, then blow it all with the Labour lot who haven't got a clue. Now we're tightening our belts again and after years of fixing this massive debt the country will have had enough of the pain just as the tanks are reaching full again and just in time to buoy up the Labour party for a couple of terms. How about some consistency this time stick with the savers rather than switching back to the spenders, let the Tories do some spending for a change - more wisely! In about 15 years time when Labour would normally be doing it. Otherwise it gets so repetitive and a waste of effort, not to mention unfair. That's why we are in such a deep mess, the gen' elec before last, the Tories didn't even bother to try and win, you could see them just thinking; "Let them bury themselves" and they did! Now who picks up the mess as always! How tall is this Shard. I must read on. What's the 2nd tallest in Europe then?

However, the true, depressing, prospect is that the 'chattering classes' will fall for another Tony ("I'm all right - I got my Iraqui Pension") Blair type when they feel that their pockets are full again. History is cyclical and the lemming instincts of the British population are incurable. We will rebuild the country through another Parliament and then we will be on another champagne socialist spending spree.
