The planes of 2050
Is it a bird? An hallucination? No, it's a concept plane released this week by Airbus, depicting how the manufacturer thinks we might be flying in 2050. Apart from the incredible 180-degree view shown at the beginning of this gallery - you really wouldn't want to be a nervous flyer on those early routes - the company envisages inflight entertainment in the form of holographic games, such as the electronic round of golf pictured, a cabin powered by recycled body heat and air with thick vitamins and anti-oxidants rather than other passengers' breath.
