The world's best foodie train journeys
Can you imagine yourself relaxing while live serpents were draped across your naked flesh? No, we didn't think so. But an Israeli spa is now using extra-wriggly reptiles as unlikely masseurs. Barak's Snake Spa, in the village of Talmei Elazar, employs various non-venomous snakes slithering and sliding over clients' bodies to sooth aching muscles and joints.
The massage has been a huge hit with travellers looking to try something a bit different from the usual Dead Sea spa treatments. A simple snake massage is likely to set you back around £44.
