Most beautiful designer object
Voted the World's Most Beautiful Object in the inaugural Pulchra design competition of 2009, the Gyrofocus rotating, suspended fireplace was designed in 1968. Groundbreaking in terms of form and innovation, it is still just as desirable four decades later and has been displayed at various contemporary art galleries around the world, including New York's Guggenheim. You'll also find it in numerous high profile architectural projects including the stunning new Shell House in Karuizawa, Japan.
