Galway, Ireland
'Glamour in spades' is promised at The g in Galway, where top-end milliner and local boy Philip Treacy oversaw all aspects of the design, from the dramatic light installation in the Grand Salon to the knobs on the bedroom doors. The public areas are flamboyant; there are jewel-coloured chairs in the restaurant, and hot pink walls and Andy Warhol camouflage print in the Ladies Lounge. In the top suite - the Linda Evangelista - the giant silver bed is said to be the one that the supermodel allegedly lay in while saying she wouldn't get out of it for less than $10,000 a day.
