I have just returned from Colombia, I visited Cali, Bogota and Cartagena, I have to admit that I felt safe.
There are dangerous places everywhere in the World, you just have to be sensible. The hotels and restaurants were of good standard, the shopping malls equal to any you would see in Europe, I found the people very kind and helpful, I was probably the only English person in many places I visited, but I only experienced a kindness not always shown in England.
