It’s called the Peru effect. In the past year no less than three Peruvian eateries have opened in London to rival those in Lima (pictured) – Ceviche, the newly Michelin-starred Lima and the Nikkei-fusion Chotto Matte – with another, Andean restaurant Andina, pegged for a December opening.

Peru is firmly on the foodie map – the capital hosted the first Latin American’s 50 Best Restaurants awards last month – so we say get planning. Of course, the Incan citadel of Machu Picchu should feature high on your hit list, but not before trying some fresh ceviche.
