Sri Lanka is the best place to go. We had a fantastic time. So much to see and do. The people are so lovely. You come home with money as everthing is so cheap. Best place ever

Algarve is one of the cheapest for a beer or glass of wine, e.g. 1 euro per glass of wine and approx. 1 euro per 3rd litre of beer. All eateries do a 'meal of the day'  (prato do dia) at about 4.50 to 5 euros per head. The climate is great.

Greece is beautiful but we are now all paying for its self-inflicted financial problems - will never be cheap again unless it quits or it chucked out of the Euro-zone
