The world's best foodie train journeys
The new report from the Post Office reveals all...
A holiday to far-flung shores might seem extravagant when Christmas is fast approaching but a new list revealing the top 10 low-cost long-haul destinations might ease the pain. In fact, when totting up your overall costs, some of these places may well be cheaper than a week's break in Europe.
Some places that will definitely require a healthy bank balance are Malaysia - which has seen a 40% price increase - and South Korea, which was the most expensive of five new destinations surveyed by the Post Office in the annual report.
If you're desperate for a winter sun break (it's so much more fun than popping vitamin D pills), this is your go-to guide. And, don't forget to tell us your suggestions - we'd love to hear your thoughts on Facebook.
