Stuck for a present idea for the parents? A night on the British Pullman would hit the spot nicely.
Mexico
The number of British tourists to Mexico has risen in the last year according to Hayes and Jarvis, and that may be due to the ease of flights to Cancún (Virgin Atlantic has just increased its service) and the fact that the country is just getting better at catering to tourists.
Mexico City is utterly fascinating and less grubby than it used to be, the Aztec and Mayan ruins have always been a key draw, and the coastline along the Caribbean Sea allows you to enjoy the same experience as in the rest of the Caribbean islands for a fraction of the price.
