Hours of daylight: 10
Hours of sunshine: 4
Maximum temperature: 17C

It's hard to believe a place only a two-hour flight away has double the UK’s average hours of sunshine, but Rome is ideal for getting a bit more of that all-important Vitamin D without lounging on a beach. There are plenty of elegant piazzas where you can enjoy an proper Italian coffee before taking in the ancient ruins and beautiful gardens of the city on foot or by bike tour. Don’t forget to throw a coin into the Trevi fountain and make a wish (perhaps for a decent British summer next year).

Some real negative people out there.

Dont worry, be happy!
