This volcanic island, sitting off the coast of Africa, is known as ‘The Island of Eternal Spring’ – and with good reason. The sea will still be warm enough to enjoy in November and, even if it’s not quite bikini weather, there are a wide range of water sports on offer, including some of the best surfing in Europe. If donning a wetsuit isn't for you, walking and hiking are also a pleasure as Lanzarote's volcanic landscape has some utterly stunning coastal paths and mountain treks.
