The jury's still out on Cairo - we wouldn't recommend it until things are a bit more settled - but a more settled choice at present is Sharm El Sheikh and other resort towns on the Red Sea. Water sports are obviously a big draw, so you can make the most of the long hours of daylight, and join the scuba divers who flock here year after year. The sea will certainly be warm, averaging a balmy 25C in November.
