The Sultan's Suite, Çirağan Palace Kempinski, Istanbul
Prince Charles, Uma Thurman and Giorgio Armani have all stayed at this stunning hotel, where the pièce de résistance is the Sultan's Suite - one of the largest hotel suites in Europe and the ideal base for those used to the finer things in life (and those who can afford the £24,000 nightly rate).
There's a handmade marble hammam in the master bedroom, gold-plated taps in the bathroom, a private steam room and a living room with a dining table for 12 guests.
